Therapy consists of four areas
IN OFFICE THERAPY:
Following the dry eye examination, patients are shown to a therapy suite where a sequence of procedures are performed. More than comfort coming from this series, healing and regeneration begin to take place with noted improvement by the conclusion of the session.
Demonstrations of procedures prescribed for home care are also important. Details are explained how and why each daily home procedure is advised, which provides both understanding and motivation to perform these tasks until the next office visit.
Providing written instructions of details has proven essential. Long after the office appointment these notes serve to avoid confusion and clarify instructions given earlier for each home procedure.
PERSONAL CARE KIT:
Whenever possible, each patient receives a kit containing all the helpful products useful in managing their dry eye condition, avoiding the need to order or search for prescribed therapy aids.
